Sweet Secrets – Sweetification

Exotic Thai Curries, healthy Poke Bowls or Arabian Mezze – our dining culture is getting more global, while our meals are becoming smaller, healthier, and more flexible.

Twenty years ago, our meals made our day. Now, our day controls our eating behavior. In the past, snacks were something to fill a hunger gap in-between whole meals, while now they can replace them entirely. Dining culture is moving away from the classic three meals a day to eating more snacks throughout the day. In addition, consumers are longing for more nutritious and higher quality ingredients..

This phenomenon is called “snackification” and it is not new. So, it is high time to add a sweet twist to it and introduce “sweetification”!

We see that consumers did not stop snacking during the pandemic. They also snack while working from home. They are demanding healthy mini meals and looking for products which satisfy a sweet craving to pamper themselves. Therefore, we get hooked on the “snackification” while adding a bit of sweetness to it.Lisa Wulf, Marketing Manager
